Professor Ljupco Trpezanovski from the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Bitola received the IEEE Chapter Outstanding Engineer Award

 

 

     Professor Ljupco Trpezanovski form the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Bitola received the IEEE Chapter Outstanding Engineer Award on the Annual Chapter Meeting held on 18.02.2011.

Annual Meeting of the IEEE Section of Republic of Macedonia

 

 

     The Annual Meeting of the IEEE Section of Republic of Macedonia was held on 18.02.2011 at 12 h, at the Conference Room at the Ss Cyril and Methodius University, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies. On the meeting, the Annual Chapter Reports were presented and plans for future activities were discussed.

Professor Ljupco Trpezanovski from the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Bitola is nominated for the IEEE Chapter Outstanding Engineer Award

 

   Professor Ljupco Trpezanovski, form the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Bitola, is nominated for the IEEE Chapter Outstanding Engineer Award (OEA) for the IEEE PES Chapter of Republic of Macedonia. Professor Trpezanovski is among the founders of the Macedonian PES Chapter and he is its active member and promoter.

    Professor Trpezanovski is nominated for the OEA for his contribution in establishing and development of the IEEE PES Chapter in Republic of Macedonia and his research results in analysis of unbalanced power systems.

Workshop on Power Quality held at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies

 

    The IEEE PES Chapter of Republic of Macedonia and MAKO CIGRE have co-organized a workshop on Power quality. The workshop, which was hosted by the Faculty of EE & IT, was held on 14.12.2010.

    The aim of the workshop was to introduce power quality issues to all interested parties in the country, to depict the actual situation and to raise the awareness of these issues.

    Among the participants in the Power Quality workshop were representatives of the electricity transmission and distribution companies (MEPSO, AD EVN MAcedonia, EVN Austria), representatives of the industry (MAKSTIL), representatives of various institutions responsible for developing and implementing rules and regulations concerning power quality (Ministry of Economy of Republic of Macedonia, Energy Regulatory Commission of Republic of Macedonia, Energy Agency, Institute for Standardization) and researches who are actively involved in power quality  issues (FEIT, Chalmers University, Swedish Energy Markets Inspectorate).

      The first lecture was organized in collaboration of IEEE PES Chapter of Republic of Macedonia and IEEE Signal Processing Chapter of Republic of Macedonia, while the second was organized by IEEE PES Chapter of Republic of Macedonia. The lectures will be held at the Meeting Room of the Faculty of EE & IT, Ss Cyril and Methodius University.
